I think the OP was being unfair to the blind girl. Children don't want to feel left out, even if what their friends are doing is difficult or not what they are used to. My husband has been legally blind his whole life, what people don't understand is that people with disabilities are still the same people, they react, feel and care about what able people do. They are not this 'alien species' that should be treated like glass or put on the sidelines if something is happening and they might not experience it the same way. Well done to the OP for instilling difference from your classmates at such an early age.

She can hide with another child, I think it's sweet they wanted to include her. Maybe you were being a little uptight and should have thought of how she could play instead of why she couldn't.
