Today, I had to lie to my boyfriend about having plans on tonight so he'd think I had a life outside of him. All my "friends" are going to a party. I'm not invited. FML

Ergh >.> Well mabey if you didn't lie to people, to make excuses for not seeing them, so they'd think you're popular.. you'd be more popular. YDI. way to make a good lover... lie to your other half... that's what everyone wants. o_O

No need for that. I doubt very much he would mind if you didn't have a life outside of him.

that's a pretty crappy thing to do to him. he wanted to spend time with you and you blew him off for nothing...

you would rather sit alone at home than spend time with your boyfriend? do you even like him?

only thing i could think of while reading this was "chicks before dicks"

If you want people to invite you to their gatherings, it doesn't hurt to be proactive and suggest activities yourself, too. Let's put it like this, if I had a "friend" I always asked to hang out with us, but who never invited me to hang out with him, after a while I'd start to think he didn't seem all too keen on spending time with me and stop inviting him, too. No use running after people who don't seem to want to hang out with me in the first place. Besides, you can always go out on your own. A guy I know does that a lot, and he's one of the most extrovert, self-confident people in the world. He says he always meets interesting people when he goes out on his own. The few times I've done it I had a great time and met great people, too, and I'm not really the model social butterfly. Anything's better than lying to your bf about your social life. If you don't have one and you don't like that (as it seems to be), then stop moping and get one.

who caresssss If you BF really likes you i don't think it would worry him too much. IMO the fact you are lying to him is worse. Just tell him the truth.

You should never lie to your significant other about ANYTHING. It's just disrespectful.
