Just because the OP can't run doesn't mean that he/she is over weight. I'm 5'7" and weigh 120 pounds and I can't run long distances either. I can do bursts of sprinting, but not sustain a good pace running a mile.
That's too bad OP, the good thing is that if you're looking to stay/get in shape walking is way better in the long run. Running causes a lot of joint problems as you age. Stick to walking, biking or swimming everyday and you'll see a huge improvement.
Ydi fatty
^Confirmed Asshole...
3 laps? A mile on a track is only four laps. What were you running, a gym?
run for 30 seconds as hard as you can. then walk for a minut. repeat this untill you cant run anymore. do this every other day for a month. then run your mile
nah man much more effective to run every other day, and not stop at all. Just set a goal of running like 20 minutes straight at your own pace.
I agree with the guy above, I'm a serious runner and know a lot about running and training and everything and running as hard as you can for 30 seconds as hard a you can is so stupid

hey buddy, you're putting in the effort. more than some kids can say! a lot give up
Ouch, OP. I feel your pain, I've got asthma so I can't run long distances very easily. But come on, three laps? Were you crawling the whole time or was it just a super long run? Ps: nice username OP
