Today, after holing myself up in my room for the day, I eventually turned my phone back on and told my girlfriend that my grandma passed away today. She replied, "Ask me if I fucking care," then accused me of not caring about our relationship because I went offline all day. FML

Today, I proudly gave my grandma a picture I had drawn for her. She didn't seem thrilled with it, and afterwards the rest of my family seemed upset. Nobody could fathom why I drew grandma a picture of a graveyard for her 85th birthday. It was suppose to be a bridge. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out for a romantic dinner, since we can't see each other this Valentine's Day. Halfway through, my aunt called, telling me my grandma had died. I had to leave because I was crying so much, leaving my girlfriend with a very pricey bill. FML

I wonder how that looked to the other people at the funeral when OP whipped out his camera (or cell phone) to snap a picture. That doesn't sound like a normal funeral thing to do. OP, you seriously need to talk your girlfriend into some counselling for putting you through something like that.

People take pics of funerals a lot but mostly do it right before the burial.. They wait until the friends are out so the family can have that time to do it without interruptions
