Today, I have a heart condition that causes migraines and fainting, so I take salt tablets to stop the fainting. The migraines can lead to a stroke, so I have medication for them. The medication has a side effect: fainting. And to avoid migraines, I should avoid salt. FML

I think most people above a certain age run into a problem similar to this, or at least are on one medication just to do something about the side effects of another.

Yet another case of doctors treating symptoms instead of fixing the problem gone amiss.

it still surprises me that doctors cant/wont just find a way to treat these things without them making one another worse. there cant be ONE solution to migraines and ONE to fainting, and if they happen to conflict then youre SOL.

Sounds to me that you should get a different doctor.

It's ok everyone I read it as "...I take bath salts to stop the fainting..."
