I'm a nurse and while it is a job hazard that I might get barfed on (or bled on, or peed on, or pooped on, or spit at, or punched) I don't consider it "my job" to be someone's personal emesis basin. That being said, I wouldn't consider this an FML. It's like being a plumber and complaining about water splashing you. No one "deserves" to be puked on just because they work in the medical profession, like so many of you have asserted. We went through a pretty grueling education and training in order to be in the position to save your life. So, (kukopia, especially) get off your high horse and try to do our job for a day. I guarantee you won't say "YDI" after you see what we do.
Gold Medal for you!!!! You forgot slapped and pinched. That happened to me before while I was putting in an IV in my poor senile grandma patient. The stories go on and on... I completely agree, this is definitely not an FML. It sounds like the patient missed by mistake. Although I don't enjoy having bodily fluids on me, I really don't hold them accountable for it. They are sick. Sick people do things they wouldn't normally do. We don't deserve it but it happens :/
wow like every mom in the world has had this happen to them from children. stop complaining you dumb ********.
I could've sworn that you just used the word "patient"? Oh, wait, I did. You took the job, so deal with it. This isn't an FML.
i agree with this dude thats ur job so wtf
I've gotten thrown up on before. There's worse things in life.
Are you a doctor or nurse?

You guys are idiots. It's not 'your job' to get puked on. Your job in this case would be to help people. Being to stupid to realize the difference must be why you guys are here posting that garbage in the first place. Now Hiring: Position to be puked on? Morons..
Been there, done that, that's why extra scrubs are good
