It was either an expensive event, or learn to manage your money.

wow 53.. i def. snorted when i read that. lolz.
makes me remember going to Otakon (drove from pittsburgh - baltimore)...except that i was too lazy to bother putting together a costume/uniform for that and just wore my usual work clothes (black pants and purple top) as a sorry excuse for some random anime character (this character being something from my imagination)
your life is f**cked: not because you left your uniform at home, but because you drove 10 hours to go to a civil war reenactment
"hey guys, this is time from massachusetts, in the year 2009. we picked him up through a time warp to help us win the war."
this reminds me of the movie role models. lolz
Hey, guys who call him geek. Look, he's got a hobby that's so goddamn interesting (and good for his health). And what do you do in you free time? Read fmylife.com, play WoW and watch ****? Who is loser then? But for you... Forget the most important thing? OK, sometimes such things happen, once I left my sporran at home (I reenact 17-th century Scotland), and it was terrible. But to drive 10 hours without double-checking...
ya that really sucks n was def. ur fault, but its the first REAL fml i have seen.
i'm agreeing with practically everyone who is not saying that civil war reenactments are stupid. i do them in my spare time and it's actually very interesting. you learn so much about the time period and the people who lived back then and we take it seriously (nerdy, i know ;]). dude, i've been in your shoes and have had to borrow things from the people i reenact with too, so join the party XD. and # 32, i agree... i'm a girl and i've been a soldier a few times and shooting blanks is fun... except i shoot them in the air, not directly at people ;].

To the people picking on him because he re-enacts the Civil War, wtf is wrong with you? Some of that stuff is pretty hardcore. Couple of my friends did that Roman Gladiators type stuff and they showed me pictures of an event where some guy got his arm broke by a 12 lb longblade and another where the guy was knocked out when some guy twirling a mace hit him in the face.
well, you're from the civil war. obviously you don't have cars. or express 24 hr shipping. lol
