I know at least two couples with a 15-25 year age difference. It's not always because of money or sex. They really like each other. There's no reason to believe based on what's here that the stepmother is a *****. We only know that the daughter doesn't care much about her father's happiness.

I'm very sorry that your father's mid-life crisis comes in the form of a new wife your age. If you really feel that way, then let it be known. Tell her mom is a title for a mother. A mother is a respected figure in ones life. Not a cow who's easy enough to be bought out by a 40 year old. Have at it. Your father doesn't care what people think, neither should you. Wow, I'm amazed at how many people are dissing the OP saying, "Oh lay off your dad...you're being selfish, you should be happy for him" but the OP never said she disapproved of her dad being happy with someone he loves. She's just mad that this girl who is young enough to be her sister or friend is asking her to call her "mom". And I fully understand that. I'm 17, my dad is 45 and my step-mom is barely 20. Even though she doesn't say that I can call her mom, I would also be very pissed off if she did. So seriously guys, maybe be a little nicer to the OP? Amazing how the internet brings out such hostility in people.
