Today, I learned my 40 year old father is marrying a girl barely a year and a half older than me. She told me not to be afraid to call her mom. I was torn between punching her in the face and vomiting. FML

haha whoever wrote #4 is my new hero :) and haha if she gets knocked up before they get married her parents could sue him for rape

Well, my dad's dead, so I couldn't say for sure how I'd react. But I'm pretty sure I'd give him a high-five! Then again, I'm a guy.

I can understand why the OP is upset about the woman wanting her to call her "mom"(I would have been quite annoyed, myself), but the age difference is far from "disgusting". I'm dating a man that's 19 years my senior (23/42), and we get along splendidly. I simply like older men, and that's not disgusting, nor is it disgusting for my boyfriend to want to be with me, because I'm so much younger than he is. Two adults are unable to love each other based on the age difference? That's an absurd notion.

Ouch, that's got to make family time awkward. I'm sorry.

More like don't be afraid to call her a gold digging ***** who obviously can't make money for herself. I'm so sorry OP.

why not do both its a great stress releaver

Oi, you poor thing. D: My parents are going through a divorce now, and I'm so scared that that will happen to me. DX I don't mind relationships with large age differences, but when your kid is the same age as your wife? *headwall* *hug*

my moms best friend is 35 and she married a 70 year old man he's a retired western actor and he wasn't rich
