Today, I learned my 40 year old father is marrying a girl barely a year and a half older than me. She told me not to be afraid to call her mom. I was torn between punching her in the face and vomiting. FML

Actually the OPs dad can't have sex with her-if you have sex with anybody more than 5 years older than you, it's rape-no matter what age you are and whether or not you consent......and the OP is a girl!

@66 Would like to know where you get your info from? In the United States depending on state age of consent is 16-18 once that age is achieved you are an adult in the eyes of the laws as far as sex goes and can consent to sex with anyone of any age over the age of consent in that state.

If you all stopped to think before advocating violence upon a young woman, you might realize that she was only trying to be friendly to her to-be stepchild. Think of someone you know who is only a year older than you and whether you think it would be appropriate for her, no matter her relationship with your father, to ask you to call her mom. I would have laughed in her face.
