Hey, OP here. I can clear a few things up. She was nearly arrested for breaking and entering and saw a 'cute' boy at the jail. Every day since (without my knowledge) she went to the jail and talked to him. I found out last week.

Who is she to stop her? HER MOTHER. She's underage, barely knows the boy, it isn't "love" and it's definitely her mother's business who she takes up with.

Excuse me, but we're not all mindless idiots. Op's daughter is 16 and will make mistakes. Kudos to you OP for sitting her down and talking with her about choice and consequence. You are a great parent. Hope everything works out for you and your daughter.

That could get tricky pretty fast. What if it's her brother, or father, and the mother is incapable of supervising either because she's sick or not around?

It's called a "county jail." They are for holding not very many criminals and she is allowed to enter. Or she lied about her age.
