Each state has its own law about how far along is too far along. Indiana will scrape just about anytime. Do some more research and get rid of the ******.
Actually Indiana's abortion laws are very similar to most states and you cannot obtain an abortion there after 20 weeks unless the mother's life is at risk.
There are a shit ton of comments on this FML all saying only 4 different opinions: should have used birth control; birth control doesn't always work; put the baby up for adoption; get sterilized.
I love how so many people are assuming that OP used protection. I knew a girl who absolutely did not want to get pregnant, yet never made her bf use protection and wasn't on birth control. Surprisingly she never ended up getting pregnant though. Point is sometimes people are just dumb. Maybe OP and her husband didn't use condoms because it felt better without. Maybe OP is forgetful and didn't always have her birth control. Just because they hate kids doesn't mean they didn't risk it sometimes. Hell if they had been together long enough it makes sense that they would get lazy sometimes and not use protection if they ran out or something. I'm not saying that is the case I'm just saying like many FMLs there is to little information for anyone (even the people saying why didn't she use protection) to be making such assumptions. It could go either way. So unless OP does a follow up there is just as much chance they didn't use protection as there is that they did.
How did you get far enough along without noticing? By the time abortion isn't an option, you'd definitely be showing.
Birth control can fail so I can certainly understand how you can get pregnant by accident. However, I don't buy that a grown woman could get so far into a pregnancy that abortion is no longer an option, without noticing some of the many changes that come along with pregnancy.
Some pregnancies can and do go unnoticed. If the baby is small, there may not be much of a bump. Some women don't experience morning sickness, some still have periods (light bleeding, probably not technically a period but there we go). If a woman is overweight, a baby bump may be less noticeable. There a plenty of reasons a pregnancy can go unnoticed for months, sometimes up until labour starts.
For 5 years my wife and I had sex daily without making a kid. When we wanted to make one, the first try it worked. The only thing we did to prevent an unwanted pregnancy was pull out, especially during her fertile week. It floors me why there are so many unwanted pregnancies. I've been pulling out since HS and never had an issue.
I've said it before OP, and I'll say it again, ignore the staggering idiocy on here. The stupid ones are usually the loudest.
Should've had your husband get a vasectomy, he can always have it in done if you guys change your mind.
YDI for not using birth control. I'm pro-choice, but if your own stupidity causes this situation, you don't have my sympathy. The kid, however, does, as it will have to grow up knowing its parents never wanted it and that it was a stupid mistake.

Adoption. Then get yourselves fixed so you don't have another accident.
