Today, I left a message for a potential employer. It wasn't until after I'd hung up that I realized I'd given them their own phone number to call me back at. Not getting that job. FML

I called them back! It was just a funny and embarrassing mistake. Interview next week!

So you gave them your future number? Nice. I like that style.

I would think as an employer, it would look better for you if you did. You made a mistake, worked out a solution to fix it and acted on it. Sounds much better than "this muppet left the wrong number and never called back"

YDI if the job requires attention to detail.

You're sounding just as bad as them. You can stop now.

Don't call them back OP! You've totally ruined everything with that one mistake including plans for world domination. Now the whole world will die in a gigantic fireball visible from Uranus.

Well call them back and just explain that you were nervous and gave them the wrong number.

Shhh... shhh... Expecting originality in the comments is like going to a Dane Cook show and expecting actual jokes. It just isn't going to happen, and chances are good that you'll suffer a minor stroke in the process.

もう一回電話してもいいから気にしないで

YFI if u do t just call them. Say sorry I left the wroung number and give them yours problem solved.

I want to know if the manager rings it without realising....

I guess I don't really understand the problem. Call them back, say "Sorry about that, I gave you the wrong number by mistake, here's the correct one." What kind of a manager would hold it against someone who made a simple mistake? The big mistake is in not correcting little mistakes at your first opportunity.

I had to stop reading these comments because they were all the same haha call them back, call them back. Well obviously that would be the smart mature thing to do but maybe OP would rather let the job just pass them by
