There's been a lot of people on here lately who need to be introduced to Uber or who just really like to got for long walks.
It costs $40 one way to get an uber to my doctor appointments. Not everyone lives where it is easy to be without a car. Not to mention, depending on the time of night, I cannot even get an uber here. My husband gets off work at 3am. No car means he walks 3 miles after 12 hours working in a factory.
Not all places have access to uber. That's fine in a big American city, or whatever, but I don't have access to uber outside of 3 major cities in my area.. All 2-4 hours away. Also no taxi service. I would have to bum a ride to work or walk 22 km.
That's my situation😔
Some people don’t just use their car for transport to and from work. Being a community carer I use my car to drive FOR work. Without my car I see none of the clients who are waiting for support to go about their daily lives, thus no car-no work. If I was in this situation, it would seriously suck. Good luck OP, maybe your eldest daughter needs a reminder of all the inconvenient trips you did for her when she was a kid.
