They probably figured the other person is a more valuable person to keep on staff for when the economy recovers. Then she can be moved into a position where her math will be more applicable. At that time it will be harder to find people with technical skills.
fake. no one in the united states says "maths"
Well the degree does help get or keep a job because an athletic trainer deals in sports medicine. now if he works for a health club as a "trainer" then yea i can see you losing your job for some bullshit.
she's def hotter than some ppl we know
hahaha XD
First off, if you seriously believe this is an FML you are seriously retarded. If they can hire a better qualified candidate then sure fire the one they currently have. And any Master's degree is better then none. You can earn a bachelor's degree by partying every night, while a master's in math actually takes work to accomplish. Most managers and professionals would agree with that.
That's BS. There is no point in employing somebody with a masters in a totally unrelated field, except perhaps if you were being employed into an academic field where any masters degree demonstrates you have an aptitude for learning and academia. Especially because someone with a masters would probably cost more.
Are you sure she didn't have other experience in athletic training? Perhaps she did it as a part time job during college?
My god. I don't know how many different people including myself have said this; IT'S CALLED MATHS IN THE UK! &&, if you're just talking about her calling it maths in general, she's an athletic trainer. Not an English professor.
Yes, but the grammatical rules still apply. Math = US & Maths = UK. Also, as someone has said before, they could have came from another country that did spell it 'Maths'.
yanksby7, cheat07notes & JoeATC, thanks for standing up for your fellow ATC's! Finding a job as an ATC is hard enough in a high school with the budgets the districts have to abide by. Unfortunately, a lot of schools don't see our "worth" until someone gets hurt or passes. :( And that's been happening too much lately.

You're an idiot if you think your degree is the only thing that counts to qualify for a job.
