Today, I lost my job to a girl that graduated with the same bachelor's degree from the same college as me. She also got a master's in an unrelated field. I've been working there 7 months, and her master's in maths apparently makes her a better athletic trainer than me. FML

Today, the girl I hired and trained took my director's position. She's not even been there a month. I didn't do anything to lose it, they just decided she was more qualified. At least I was good at picking employees I guess. FML

Today, I found out the job I applied for in IT was offered to coworker. I'm going to school for it, she has no degree/desire/knowledge of it. She was my trainer, I literally worked beside her for 2.5 years, and kept saying, "I hope you get it, I'm not going to apply." It was offered 5 days ago, which I found out about from another coworker. FML

Today, my girlfriend who trained me at the job we both work at received a promotion, which left a spot for advancement. I was chosen for the position, and now the guy she's been cheating on me with is training me. Congrats. FML

Today, after spending 8 months and $11,000 on school, I was denied a job in my chosen career field. They told me they decided to go with someone with more experience. So who got the job? One of my classmates. This is her first job. EVER. FML

Today, I lost my job to the individual I just finished training. Within 2 hours after being escorted out, my old boss called and yelled at me for doing a lousy job. He was angry that the training was deficient and because the new person is as bad as I was. FML

Today, I found out that the girl I tutored in high school in basic ENGLISH just received her PhD in Biophysics. I am now the manager of a McDonald's. I was also the Valedictorian of our graduating class. FML

Today, I found out my boss was quiet-firing me on purpose. Apparently, his daughter who works at this same company is pregnant now and needs a promotion. I have a Master’s and have been here for 9 years. She dropped out of college because it was “too hard” and the other day she put a metal spoon in the microwave. FML

Actually, pursuing a Masters degree in anything, rather than working proves she is willing to invest in knowledge, proving she is the smarter employee. A bit sour are we YDI for not investing in yourself

BS you idiot. And tell me it's lousy the next time you mess up your knee playing basketball and aren't sure what that strange "clicking" feeling is. Btw...a masters in math has absolutely nothing to do with athletic training, AND this is coming from a certified athletic trainer who's currently working on MY masters degree...IN athletic training

Having the right degree doesn't come close to summing up job qualifications. If she's the sort of person who pursues self improvement while you're the sort of person who blames everyone else for your inadequacies, then it's pretty obvious why you weren't hired.

she probably has something better than u like more experience without u realizing, better personality cause they do look for that. sense of humour all of these things so yh u just gotta try harder at nt being uptight or nythin nd try and get as much experience as possible :) even if it's starting from the very begining :)
