Actually, contrary to popular belief, becoming a sperm donor is extremely difficult, and most people get turned down.

I feel your struggle man. People have no idea how far you have to stretch a dollar when it may be all you got for some time. Maybe next time ask a coworker for a ride or bite the bullet and walk? Hope things start looking up OP.

The company I intern for gives me a large discount on a monthly bus or train pass, maybe ask your boss if your company has a program like that

They don't pay for it then and there unless in some internet cafe. It's usually on contract and paid in advance, one would argue that they might need it to find a new job if they lose this current one so it's more of an asset then a luxury.

What if he lives miles and miles away? Some people have to travel so far for their job that if they walked home they'd immediately have to turn around and walk back again to get to work on time the next day. Walking isn't always feasible.

Ya, this doesn't make much sense because if he can't get to work then he won't be making any more money. Maybe ask a friend or family member for a ride or to loan you some bus money. The situation won't be any better by staying home and not working. Sorry OP.
