But you can post this fml?
You can afford internet, but not coffee? Boy do I feel sorry for you. *sarcasm*
Is coffee really that much of a staple? Seriously OP.
If coffee money is your main concern, you're not that poor or you wouldn't even have a place to look for change. Quit bitching and try researching what poor can really mean. Then your coffee won't matter and you'll be grateful for a clean bed and running water.
75- are living on just the basics? If not, you should, so you can be grateful just like how you said op should feel.
80- I'm incredibly grateful, because for a long time I only did have the basics, and I was lucky for even those. Reminding others to be thankful for what they doesn't mean I'm unaware of my own fortunate life. So, in conclusion, **** off.
*for what they have, rather.
Yeah, there is a large scale of what is considered "poverty," so OP may be at a different area on the spectrum than you might realize. My mother and I live under the poverty line. We have a house with electricity and some luxuries, but there are months where we can't afford to pay rent or hydro because we're living on one income. My point is, you can still be poor even if you have some luxuries, so YOU quit bitching and research what poor really means, and leave the guilt trips at home. Lawyered.
If you can't pay rent some months, I'm guessing you're not scrambling to fund money to go out for coffee, which means if this person were bitching to you, you might find yourself less tthan sympathetic to their plight. Practice reading comprehension an try understanding what I was saying instead of
Deciding I may have said something you didn't really understand, so you should be offended by my statement. Ignorance is easily offended, try to understand instead what someone is saying before you think you're in a position to attack their point of view.
Also, I didn't even have the luxury of a roof over my head, unless someone was able to scrounge for a motel room, and my baths were taken in the local fast food bathroom sink. I've done enough research, thanks, and I was nowhere near true poverty. That's saved for places in India and Africa.
Sell either of those in this day and age? Both are important for jobs.
Caffeine addiction and broke is a rough combination. Skip the coffee, and you use the money for aspirin for the withdrawal headache. Better to take a couple of weeks to slowly wean off caffeine entirely.
Most likely Tim Horton's, she is from Canada.
perhaps if you are that broke, you shouldn't buy coffee.

Time for a change. I bet you'd have more money if you didn't buy coffee everyday.
Perhaps if you didn't buy so many cups of coffee, you could afford your own $10 coffee machine and coffee beans. That way you can make your own coffee for a few pennies a cup, and I guarantee you it's 100x better than that swill they sell at Starbucks.
