So your father-in-law will be your stepdad (and your wife's mother-in-law will be her stepmom)? Think of it this way: Fewer families to worry about visiting during the holidays. I think it's rather sweet. And she won't be your sister, but your stepsister.

There are cases like this in loads of families. People get over it. My boyfriend's uncle is also his brother's dad. It's strange but who cares. At least you aren't actually related. :)
