Today, I moved three hours away from my boyfriend for college. Even though he got accepted to the same school and had a job lined up in town, he decided not to come with me because the Internet at our apartment wasn't going to be fast enough for his gaming. FML

In case anybody else was confused, I put an IP trace on #2's comment, and it's from an alternate universe in which the OP talked about being weird and taking away her boyfriend's games. She hid them like Easter eggs.

Relationships come and go. You don't want your internet doing the same thing.

Well was he planning on moving in with you before you found the apartment, or did you just expect him to move in with you because it would be closer to school and his job? If it's the first part, then screw him because he should have given some input on certain things he wanted. If it's the second, then I don't see what the problem is; you can't just find a place and expect someone to be fine with everything about it and just move in.

Lets just take a moment to appreciate that OP lives in Utah. #UtesForLife

OP, you underestimate what Internet speed means to people like us. your boyfriend now lives with me. 9 hours away. I hope you've learned your lesson.

**** him then. I enjoy playing games but education and relationships come first. You're better off with someone who has their head on straight.

He's made the right decision. Slow Internet is the worst!

He needs to reevaluate his priorities.
