Today, I nearly lost a hand at work, because a supervisor decided to remove a 'useless' safety guard on a machine despite my warnings. He doesn't understand why I'm so upset with him. FML

Time to find a better job that actually puts your safety first..That's completely reckless and irresponsible of him.

Please report this supervisor to HR or CEO, point out he is risking employees lives and leaving the company liable if anything happens

If you are in the states file a complaint with OSHA. They come out real quick when things like that occur. I've seen I happen.

Aren't you also responsible for doing operational checks before using the machinery?

When you complain to his boss, make sure to use the word "OSHA"

Report it to HR - your supervisor will likely be fired once they check into it.
