If only there were some person who would supervise your hairdresser, and imagine if you could report your hairdresser to this mystical person, and potentially get a refund and your hair redone by a sober hairdresser while at the same time getting the first hairdresser fired. What a strange, crazy world that would be, right?

That's actually common. They keep liquor in the break-room at a lot of higher end salons.

I'd say $50 is absurdly expensive, but I guess that that isn't as much in Canada as the US...still, you don't need to spend nearly that much.

Don't feel so bad. Halfway through my last haircut, my hairdresser admitted she had injected heroin and tried hallucinogenic products for the first time, and her boss laughed and told her she was "doing alright for someone who was high"

How do you not notice someone is drunk until half way through? Drunkenness is very ... distinct. If it turned out bad then I would have demanded my money back since apparently you paid before the cut o.o
