HUGE red flag. Do not continue to date this person. Jealous men who don't trust you/believe you are always a disaster and sometimes dangerous. This isn't the kind of thing that will change. Stay away.
Wash-and-fold is new to me. You (and Google) just blew my mind a bit. We don't have that around here.
I'm not gonna blow the "dump him" horn, but you should know that behavior like this CAN be an indication of cheating. It's not a 100% thing, but it can help with spotting it. The cheating partner projects their own guilt onto the actions of the non-cheating partner. If he isn't cheating, the lack of trust still needs discussed and mended.
Only playing devils advocate but we don't know what has happened before in their relationship ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Thank god for having my own washer and dryer. I wouldn't trust anyone to Do my laundry at all let alone somewhere it could potentially get mixed up.
that is a pretty lame excuse

If he knows that you just came from doing laundry, he should have enough sense to know that things get mixed up. A girl once put her clothes in the washer when my clothes were still in there. Mistakes happen. If you haven't given him any other reason to not trust you, he should believe you.
So… you come back from doing laundry and your boyfriend doesn't believe it's someone else's? That's a huge lack of trust.
