Personally, girls don't need to dress fancy, spend a lot of money, get all dolled up, etc...to impress us guys. We do notice other things to. A simple smile can catch our attention. Dont have to go out of your way to impress us. Isn't that our job? Lmao...
If you like it, that's all that matters.
You like it, so you're good. Besides your date is not going to be thinking so much as how you look IN the dress as much as how he's going to get you OUT of the dress :D
it's what the average male would think/do.
Ah, I went to a high school with about 200 kids. For prom most of the girls made their own dresses (think potential Halloween costumes), all their dates seemed to show up in jeans, and I believe about five guys wore capes and one had a staff.
you deserve it for using the word " amazing" for a freakin prom dress, go see the great wall of china, even niagara falls, then tell me how amazing your dumb dress is
So we should reserve all adjectives only for the most 'amazing' things in the world, huh? It's all relative. The dress may be 'amazing' compared to all other dresses she's seen, just like my car might be (an) amazing (pile of shit) compared to my friends' cars. Why the hostility? Someone piss on your cornflakes this morning? Or has puberty just kicked in and the hormones are flying?
Mine? No. Alternative. (;
I was on prom committee and we actually spent less than 2k on the whole night. Oh and the comment someone made about wearing a prom dress only once, my solution was to get a dress that was just incredibly fancy, not super sparkly, lacy, long or poofy, and just wear it in public when you felt really awesome about yourself. I own about ten of these "prom dresses" now and I've spent less than $100 on them combined. (;
serves you right for showing everyone bitch. as long as you like it that is all that matters. however society and peer pressure are generally right. chances are the dress is ugly. thus you are uglier. maybe even uglier. the fact you even borrowed money to buy it dang you got played sister.

cant please them all
What did he mean by 'Is this a joke?' If he was referring to you wearing a super skanky dress that cost $3850, then yeah its a joke. But if it was just any other prom dress, delete that dumb person.
