I think this would have been an FML if it went something like this... OP: Will you marry me? GF: Yes... but where's the ring? OP (over applause): Well see that's the thing I wanted you to pick it out... We can go to Zales, Kay, Jared... whichever one you want... Security: Sir I'm going to need you two to leave the premises OP: BUT SHE HAS TO PICK OUT HER RING!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO
It seems as if the only riot that has been caused is here. Does it really matter that he proposed in a food court? There might be a sort of significance to this event that is not mentioned in the OP's story. More importantly, however, she said "yes", meaning that obviously the proposal worked. But yeah, I'd have to agree with #12: while it does suck that you two were pulled out of the mall for "causing a riot", you're both now engaged. In the grand timeline of life, this should seem extremely minor in comparison to the lives you two may follow in the future.
hmm the food court? a little cheap but you are getting married. Gratz
This isn't a FML. You just got engaged, so what if you got escorted out of the mall? It's not like you got arrested or anything. I once got kicked out of a library for laughing too loudly, but I didn't get an engagement out of it or anything =P But anyways, congrats on getting engaged =D Hope all goes well for you!!!!
Gratz to getting married, but... food court? Srs?
