Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. She asked if the ring was a temporary thing until I got a better one, saw my dumbfounded face, then played it off as a joke and said yes. I later found out she'd posted on Facebook bitching about the ring, but with the privacy setting set to hide it from me. FML

All these girls sit up here and think that it's all about the ring and how expensive it is and they forget they're not the one who's buying the ring, the guy is! And not all guys are cheap, they're simply staying in their budget so that they don't go broke after the wedding and honeymoon, you have to remember that costs lots of money too, especially since you want that to be special! But shouldn't being with the guy you love, all that matters? If he took that step forward to even think about spending the rest of his life with you and nobody else, then that should be very damn special and something to be proud about, because he thought of you before himself!
