OP here. To clarify, I'm actually not an unhealthy or excessive weight but I'm trying to get back to a size where I feel better about myself. Also, I thought I had bought the leggings in my size but the packet was mislabeled. To the other points, I do wear underwear and when I wear leggings, I pair them with a skirt or tunic so that no one is forced to appreciate my bounteous behind.

Show it anywayDon't let it get to u. Clothes are made by different manufacturers so their sizes almost never correlate from store to store. I could have misinterpreted it but it sounded like you've been on a weight loss journey and made progress, if this is the case, DONT GIVE UP. I am rooting for you :)
Keep working out ! youll get there.
honwy im sure you're a beautiful girl, and don't worry about the size as long as you feel good in them nothing else matters

If you care more about the size of your clothes than anything else, then you'll never be happy. Size means nothing because you can wear a wide range due to how clothes is designed and sized. Worry more about how the clothes make you feel. Don't bother looking at the size. Size doesn't define how big you are.

Show it anywayIt's easy to say #38, but sometimes size of clothes does matter. Even after losing 80 pounds, I still fit in sizes that fit me when I was at my highest. So if going from an extra large to a medium makes someone feel happy, I'm all for it. Yeah, clothes sizes vary based on the brand and other factors, but I can see where OP is coming from.
Op, please be careful. I truly think we should be concerned with health, not looks. Being underweight is unhealthy as well so please don't try to get underweight. I hope you can get to the point you are happy with yourself, though.
38, did you even read her comment? She's not trying to slim down so she can fit in smaller clothes - she's doing it for herself because she wants to feel better about herself. It doesn't actually have anything to do with clothing size. Which, newsflash, most people buy clothes IN THEIR SIZE so, of course, they're gonna be looking at size when they go clothes shopping. They're not gonna go to a store, find an item they like, and just pick the first one they grab and checkout. No, they're gonna go to a store, find an item they like, check if it's in their size so it'll actually fit them properly, maybe try it on (maybe they'll wait til they get home), and then buy it. Size of your body and losing weight to be considered "pretty" doesn't matter - shouldn't matter - but BUYING clothes IN YOUR SIZE so it fits matters. I'm not gonna buy and wear something that's too big or too small.
Who cares? Wear what feels good, and honestly, a size from one store can be totally different from a size in another. I wear a 2 at old navy and a 6 at American eagle.
If it's from a higher end store, often times the size will be wrong. Some stores go down in sizes while others go up.

Show it anywayLeggings should stretch and fit, that is the point.
Etf is that comment. You probably have no friends if you talk like that. Op can do what she wants with her life. It's not yours
Society teaches us these days no matter what size you are you should be happy so according to that it is wrong of you to want to slim down stay fat strong and happy don't lose any weight because then you will be unhealthy and gross to look at
That comment is a mess from the first word all the way to the last.

As long as you feel good in them the size shouldn't matter. Keep working on slimming down and when you hit your goal weight keep those leggings as a progress pair.
