OP here. To clarify, I'm actually not an unhealthy or excessive weight but I'm trying to get back to a size where I feel better about myself. Also, I thought I had bought the leggings in my size but the packet was mislabeled. To the other points, I do wear underwear and when I wear leggings, I pair them with a skirt or tunic so that no one is forced to appreciate my bounteous behind.

Speak your mind, but please try and be respectful.
Maybe you have a big butt?
Sir Mix-a-lot approves. His anaconda is pleasantly interested.
Dont worry about size for two reasons. 1. If your clothes actually fit properly and arent tight and restricting they will make you look better and slimmer instead of lumpy in all the worst places and 2. They have been honestly decreasing the measurements on clothing gradually over the years and i once could fit into a size 0 and i am now a 7/27. Yet i still weigh and look the exact same.
Size of the pants shouldn't matter... I have two pairs that are identical in style and fit just different brand names and ones a medium ones and extra large.. And I got them a week apart. I believe as long as I'm happy F*** what anyone else says.

Clothes that don't fit well are never pleasant to wear. :-(
Congratulations on working towards a stronger and more confident you, OP! Rock those leggings with pride

As long as you feel good in them the size shouldn't matter. Keep working on slimming down and when you hit your goal weight keep those leggings as a progress pair.
