Hey, I'm a lifelong gamer and a big fan of escapism, but that's just sad. You need to balance gaming and reality, or you're going to end up pretty miserable in the end. Nobody is saying that you have to go to clubs or hang out at sports bars. You should, however, make an effort to get a decent education and have friends and interests outside games. You'll regret it in the end, if you don't.
