I think I need to invest in a safe, well worth it. I have one for our important documents and a separate safe for my rifle and handgun... and yes they both have trigger locks. Better to invest 3-400 hundred than lose, what about 2 grand in emergency cash.

Are you robbing banks and carrying out illegal transactions? Put the money in the bank, they're insured. If you're going to keep cash in the house, you need to at least get a safe.

We do have a bank account. But we like to keep a small stash of cash around the house in case of emergencies. Sometimes ATMs aren't always available or within reach.
