Today, I realized that although I'm dating the most loveable, caring and genuine man, the fact that he's a crack addict means I'll never be his drug of choice when he needs a hit. FML

Surely the fact he takes crack is concern enough?

OP, shouldn't you be more worried that he's a crack addict?

Well at least you took a crack at the relationship.

And yet girls continue to wonder why they always end up hurt because of crappy guys...

Why on earth are you dating someone with a drug addiction? Have him address his addiction before even considering furthering the relationship. . . Until then, it is difficult to sympathize or tap "FYL".

Sweet turns sour...too bad love isn't a drug for him

Just ignore the people who say you deserve it. It IS possible for an addict to be sweet, loving and caring, especially between hits. It's easy for people to judge who haven't been there. But please, keep your finances separate and do keep an eye on your things to see if they turn up missing. It also helps to have someone to talk to. If you get to the point where you have to walk away for your own mental health and well-being, you are NOT a bad person. You did what you could and you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.

Damn you FML with the feels... I come here to read about goofy assholes getting their cosmic karma. This is sad. Like clown in an iron lung sad.
