Today, I realized that even though I was an honor student throughout school, and considered the golden child who was going to go far in life, all I've accomplished a year after graduation is becoming an unemployed single mother still living with my parents. FML

So you're a 19-year old who was irresponsible enough to get knocked up, and you're complaining? Did you think someone would hand you success on a silver platter? Sorry princess, life doesn't work that way. You want to be successful? Work for it.

You were an honor student and couldn't read the instructions on a condom? or birth control pills?

ydi...but...what are you going to do about it? what you were does not necessarily define what you can make of yourself.

not sure if you know this or not, but if you don't have sex, you don't get pregnant. there's one problem solved.

YDI for feeling sorry for yourself. It's hard but doable. Signed, Employed Single Father of Two.

Yeah...it's always the most popular people, overachievers and the ones voted most likely to succeed who never do. That sucks.

yeah it sux, but honor student?? golden child?? bitch please!!if you were so great you wouldn't be busy getting pregnant retard!

good im glad you're a loser, bet you thought you were above everyone else...haha ydi

Not everyone deserves that. Although I doubt her situation is the same, my younger sister had a child at 15. When she found out she was pregnant, she refused to consider adoption or anything else, really. She and the father were "going to be in love forever". Their living situation was awful and I now have custody of the little girl. I'm 21 and the little girl is 3. OP, I'm in university as a double major, I have two jobs (one of which I'm at now), and I pay daycare and my mother to help me do these things. You can do it, you just have to make yourself get up and have some damn hope that things can/will get better.

it amazes me how many people thought good grades is a form of birth contol

see where being good in school gets ya... a unemployed goodfor nothing

FYL because your sex partner refused to take responsibility for his child and left you holding the bag. Stop complaining though because you have parents who are helping you. There a millions of women who are forced to go on welfare or work 2-4 jobs because the father of their child(ren) refuses to take responsibility. In the mean time suck it up. You can always find a retail job and arrange to have your parents babysit while you're at work. Once the child gets older it will be easier to find a "real" job. Also, make sure you get child support from your child's dad. It's half his, he should be half responsible for raising it even if that just means money for piano lessons et al.
