Today, I realized that even though I was an honor student throughout school, and considered the golden child who was going to go far in life, all I've accomplished a year after graduation is becoming an unemployed single mother still living with my parents. FML

Today, I found out my mom had been telling everyone how independent I was and just wanted to be left alone. I was homeless when I graduated valedictorian from high school and wondering why no one would let me stay with them, even when it was snowing. Now I know. FML

Today, I realised that I wasted my teenage life just to be a parent pleaser. I'm in the final months of high school and while everyone is enjoying the last days, I'm sat here being a "good" son, listening to my parents argue, maybe divorcing. I'm in tears and can't go out as I'm not invited to anything anymore. FML

Today, I am one year away from getting a university degree. Unfortunately, my parents just kicked me out because I wouldn't drop out and work for free at our family's gas station. I'm now broke, homeless, and have no way to pay for school. FML

End student debt

Today, I'm in a US college. I could've gone into a trade or internship, but no one listened. Now, while my parents brag to their friends that their child has a degree, I'll probably be spending the rest of life in crippling debt, sleeping on the side of the road, and begging strangers for table scraps. Today, my parents used to tell that me life gets way better after high school. Yeah, for everyone else at my school. They’re partying it up in college or travelling during gap years, meeting all sorts of people. I have to work more than full time because my parents kicked me out the week after I graduated. FML

you guys are horrible. lol. I was 2nd in my high school class. graduated pregnant, had dozens of scholarships...went to college. Then I had to more children...dropped out of college...and I work in fast food! FML!! lol. But hey...I don't do to bad..and I do feel her pain :(

So, a quick search reveals that condoms are 98% effective, spermicidal lube is 85% effective, and the plan B pill is 75% effective. Thus with all three used properly you have a 0.075% chance of pregnancy (about 1 in 1300 chance). This is *per year* with normal use btw. So you'd have to be pretty unlucky to become pregnant if you used proper contraception. Oh, and if you are on the pill you can bring that down to 1 in over 400,000 chance (well below the odds of being struck by lightning). So, if you become pregnant, you either didn't bother and YDI, or you can't follow the directions on your contraceptives and once again YDI. Neither of these indicates "golden child honor student" to me.

OP, everyone here tells you to get a job. I disagree. You will never be able to make a life for yourself and your child if you do that. Go to school while you still have support from your parents. Plenty of people have gone to school while being single parents. You can do it too. Good luck.
