Today, I realized that my father's weekly unemployment check is more than my bi-weekly pay check. My full time job pays less than my father's unemployment. FML

So, when he was employed, he made a pretty decent wage, so gets a decent weekly stipend now from unemployment /insurance/, which he paid into. Not exactly FYL, unless you're talking about how you never bothered to learn how unemployment works.

Well that's because he worked hard to get to his position and for whatever reason doesn't have it anymore, whereas you are probably still young and have no real "career" just a lame high schoolish job. YDI, even though it's not really FYL
