Today, I realized that the "eyelash curling brush" that my best friend found in my old bathroom drawer was actually a stick used for cleaning food out of my sister's braces. I used that thing for years. FML

The plaque and food particles probably gave your eyelashes extra body! Nice repurposing, OP!

Brace yourselves, eye see a lot of puns coming...

You deserve it. You don't ever, EVER, use anything on your eyes that hasn't been newly purchased or thoroughly sterilized beforehand, then used exclusively by you. You especially don't use something you just find in a drawer.

Am I the only one who feels sorry for her sister? Cleaning her teeth with something her sister used on her eyelashes. Yuck! :P

that's what you get using others stuff

well I bet your eyelashes are as straight as her teeth!

OP must've be inexperienced in makeup. I have never heard of an eyelash curling BRUSH before. That would've tipped me off the second she mentioned it. Plus, OP must not have had braces. Because those tooth cleaners are pretty standard for brace sufferers.

I'm sorry, OP, but you deserved it. I had braces before and one of those braces cleaning brushes and they do NOT resemble an eyelash curler AT ALL

Must have worked well if you used it for years so don't complain

Sorry for thread-jacking, but I still can't believe our fellow commentors are chewing OP out for not seeing her mistake. I'm ashamed to read about all the lashing out at her. Though this FML has me wired to the thought of having food in your eyes, disgusting.

That is really nasty but, shouldn't you have noticed the shape of the brush wasn't contoured for eyelashes
