I am not going to be hanging out with people much until I leave for college in a month, but I have a bird. I know she loves me, as much as birds are capable of love, because she spends most of the time she is in her cage (though I take her out often) bobbing at me vigorously. In bird body language, that means "I want you to come hold me." :) And then she gives me kisses when I hold her and cuddles up to my cheek to go to sleep. Just ignore the people saying your pig doesn't love you and is just forced to spend time with you. I'm sure he does want to be with you.
