Today, I realized that the only times I get to hang out with my friends outside of school are when one of them accidentally mentions plans in front of me and they are obligated by social protocol to invite me. FML

Today, I found out that my friends from high school have yearly meet-ups to catch up and talk about what they've done since school. They've done this for 3 years. I havent even been invited once. FML

Today, I was invited to a party. Since I rarely get invited to any, I was super pumped. Both my parents work late, so I texted a couple of people to see if I could catch a ride. It turned out everyone's cars were full. I ended up missing one of the only parties I've ever been invited to. FML

Today, after being excited and trying to make plans with all my friends, they all turned out to be busy. After watching Netflix most of the night, I check my Snapchat stories only to see them all hanging out without me at one of their houses. FML

I had friends like that who pulled that crap, except instead of really inviting me, they would tell me the wrong meeting place and I would get stood up. Needless to say, they still try to do that stuff, but I got new and better friends.

I would just agree that your life sucks, but my "social group" openly discuss plans that involve everyone there but me and one friend without even mentioning the idea that I might be able to come. This is the metric by which I've established that I'm probably closer to my online friends than the ones I know in person...
