Are you getting gas money or driving them as an Uber or Lyft driver? Don't worry--they're probably planning your surprise birthday party. That's the only possible reason they'd hang out without you.
Is this a common occurance? If so, then, as hard as it may be, you need to cut them out of your life. It seems as though they're taking advantage of you. It's hard to hear this, but the people most likely to take advantage of you are going to be friends or family. In fact, I'm gonna back-track on my first words and say that you could gently break it to them that you're not a taxi service and if they object or turn hostile in any other way, THEN cut them off. Cos they view you as just that, a taxi-service. However, if this is the first instance, then they may have had plans goin' on and if they didn't plan to include you from the off, then there's no reason to expect an invitation. Dropping them off does not suggest that they were going to invite you to suddenly join them.
Hell no. If you're not busy, you should be invited. They're using you. Drop them as friends because they're using you as an Uber.
Why are you dropping them off? I wouldn’t be dropping them off if I’m not invited
