Today, I realized the universal beauty that can be found in a pancake. I'm not sure if I have reached spiritual enlightenment, or if I should have my head examined. FML

How sad that we think we're insane when we see the beauty in simple things. People in this world are so closed off and wrapped up in negativity that sometimes when they perceive happiness/joy/beauty/peace/etc., they think it's not natural. There is nothing wrong with you here. You have seen things the way they are. As an artist, I have seen these things virtually all the time for many years. Whenever I look at an object/person/animal/etc., I can see both its distinct character and that all the textures, colors, and forces in the universe compose it. Life would be so dreadful without this (and is for most of us because sadly we miss it).
