Today, I received a friend request on Facebook from a girl I've had a crush on for a while. As I was about to accept it, it vanished. She explained later that she clicked on my name by accident, and didn't actually want to be friends at all. FML

If she is so rude as to delete a harmless friend invitation, then I think you might be better off. Good luck finding a new crush :)

That sucks. Further proof that sometimes crushes aren't as glorious as we envision them in our head. Been there done that. Hope you'll find someone new who won't rescind the request.

They usually never are. Also, the person isn't obligated to accept. Judging by the nature of the post this isn't someone he knows personally and they wouldn't have any reason to accept the request.

She's not worth your time and love.

It wasn't the fact that she immediately deleted the friend request on Facebook that makes this an FML. It's the fact that she told him she didn't want to be friends at all with him.

Some of these comments are silly. She doesn't have to be friends with the OP. She also didn't say anything rude to him either.

ChocolateCake, you are already my friend!

What a bitch! You obviously deserve better. :)

Telling a person outright that you don't want to be their friend is pretty bitchy behaviour in my book. At least wait for the acceptance and quietly decline, then pretend facebook bugged out later if you're asked.
