Today, I received a friend request on Facebook. I didn't know her, but she was cute, so I accepted the request. After looking at her pictures, I sent her a message saying "What's up cutie, do I know you?". She responded "Yes, I'm your cousin". FML

Today, I found an old friend of mine on Facebook. After adding her, I suggested friends for her. She ended up adding every single one I added, but not me. I later saw her ask one of those friends who the hell I was and how I knew all of them. We used to eat lunch together everyday. FML

Today, my coworker asked me to add her on Facebook. She has a common name, so I picked the one I thought was her. After no response for a while, I asked for the right spelling. She saw the one I thought was her and said, “I can’t believe you thought I was that ugly.” She wasn't joking. FML

I can see how this could happen. I have a large extended family, with a ton of cousins I've never met, and a few of them have added me on Facebook. Although calling her "cutie" is definitely a bit of a facepalm moment.

Its not incest. Incest is only with siblings, children, parents, or grandparents. If you were to sleep with your first cousing there's only a 2% chance of genetic mutation and this number obviously drops lower and lower as you get to 2nd and 3rd cousins. Not only that, but every person on this planet is the nth cousin of everyone else
