I find myself explaining to Doctors that my Romani family is intertwined and my daughter is one generation from having a cousin for a parent. it does cause a lot of health problems

Actually statistically there's no greater chance of genetic problems for children from second cousins. So as long as they're not your first cousin it should be ok.

You must be American. I don't think there's any other country that has this weird problem with cousins and other relatives dating. It's estimated that more than 10% of the world population are either married to a cousin or a product of cousin marriage.
