I can't decide. FYL cause I doubt you saw it coming but major YDI for buying from a more or less reliable site with strangers. If you want something that expensive go to a professional store where you can buy the item, be insured that you can get a refund and if needed, a warranty. Don't be stupid.
This is why craigslist deals should only be completed in person, in a public place, and cash transactions only. My only exception was a computer I sold and had them come to my house. I had someone present with me at the time just in case.
