Today, I received an award from my school rewarding me for my honor roll and my cheerleading. When I brought the certificate home my mom congratulated me and hugged me. I worked really hard for this and all my dad had to say was, "Try this flavor of Doritos." FML

Depending on the flavor of Doritos, either YDI or FYL.

God bitch, they were Tomatoe flavoured, and your mom gave you a big enough hug for the both of us.

He was trying to teach you not to be an over-achieving, self centered little twat pocket. Besides, cheerleading stopped being cool in the 80's. Shut up and have a Dorito.

Well it sucks about the honor roll part, but you got an award for being a cheerleader? I didn't realize it was admirable to be a stereotypical girl who sleeps with every member of the football/basketball team who's only good for wearing skanky outfits. Not saying that's what you are, but I am saying that being a cheerleader doesn't get you a free pass to royalty.

Are you kidding me? You assume that just because someone is a cheerleader, that makes them a stereotype? What if they simply enjoy gymnastics/cheering/dancing? You watch way too many movies. You're judging a person's entire life based on ONE of their hobbies? Cheerleader = / = ****. Grow up. Take a look around, and try to see the world as it really is. Some of the nicest girls in my school were cheerleaders. Like I said, you watch way too many movies. This is real life, not some eighties comedy movie. Furthermore, you DID imply that the commenter was a ****. Don't try to deny that. God, people like you make me want to puke. Seriously.

The posters on here can be very closed-minded. If you enjoy cheerleading, go for it. Congrats on the awards. But your dad's life doesn't revolve around you every second of your life. Things like this will happen, it isn't the end of the world

a lot of us have that kind of dad. get over it. but seriously, congrats.

YDI for being a cheerleader. That's not an accomplishment. If my child came up to me like that while I was eating, I'd have the same response.
