Today, I received an email saying that the present I ordered for my girlfriend's birthday will be a week late, which makes it a week late for her birthday. I sat down and said we needed to talk, she burst into tears and apologised for 'sleeping with him,' I just wanted to tell her it would be late. FML

Huh. People are saying she feels guilty for it, but... there's a difference between feeling guilty about something enough to apologize of your own accord and swear it'll never happen again, and apologizing because the boyfriend is about to break up with her. Sorry because she slept with 'him' or sorry because (she thought) she got found out?

ummm good thing OP started it this way if it means he found out he was dating someone who screwed some one else. But also with a lot of girls not getting their birthday presents on time means they're going to be incredible angry and this may have been the best way to have the conversation

How incredibly sexist! If the man sleeps around, blame the man; if the woman sleeps around, blame the man. You should be equals in your relationship. Don't treat her like an idol; treat her like a partner you love and respect.
