Today, I received the 'special' present my mother had sent me for my 21st birthday. I opened the box and saw that my mother had picked out, accessorized and shipped to me, in college, a doll. FML

Break it open and see if there's money inside. No, but you should keep it, it's a gift from your mom and it's special to her. Keep it in a box in your closet, but when she comes over, put it up on your dresser.

Maybe it's a collectable doll or reminds her of a sweet moment when you were a kid? Anyway 21 years old and you still don't know it's rude to be ungrateful for a present?! I bet she's ashamed of how she raised you! No wonder she doesn't reward that attitude with expensive gifts, she knows nothing she gets would be good enough for you!

I spent my 21st birthday overseas in the army; I would have loved a damn doll if I even got mail!!!! she should have gotten you a mirror so you could see how crappy of a daughter you are....
