Today, I rescheduled my doctor's appointment for a tetanus shot to go camping with my friends. While running on a path at the camp site, I stepped on a rusty nail that went right through my shoe and into my foot. Maybe I should have kept my appointment. FML

that sucksss but its a good thing you re-scheduled because even if you did just get the shot, you would have to get another one anyways.

This is fake, tetanus shots can no longer be given in doctors office anymore nor can you schedule to have one given to you. You can only get a tetanus shot in the E.R when it's an emergency because of a federal law passed in 2008.

it's so annoying when people thing tetanus has to do with rust. no, it's because of the puncture wound. deep puncture wounds don't have oxygen inside, so tetanus can survive.
