Today, I saw a fight so I went over to try and break it up. Someone thought I wanted to join in, so he gave me an unexpected whap in the happy sacks, and I also got a bloody nose for my troubles. FML

Yes, because breaking up a fight definitely isn't asking to get your ass whooped. The smart thing would be to let the bouncers or teachers handle it (depending on if your in a club or in a school). Even if they think you werent trying to fight them...you went between two angry men and flying fists. you are bound to come out with a black eye or bloody nose.

NEVER, get in the middle of a fight. It was nice of you to try and keep the peace, but eveyone knows that's impossible. When you get in the middle of a fight, no matter who you are, you are going to get hurt. Yes, even if your a girl and your trying to save your boyfriend, you'll most likely get hit. If you really want to do something, call the cops. They'll come over and straighten it out pretty quick. No need for you to jump into other people's business.

I've never seen anyone use the term "happy sacks" until FML. There was another person who used it earlier this week.
