Today, I saw a photo on my mother-in-law's Facebook, proudly showing off the horrible job she'd done of painting her car. I sarcastically commented that I wouldn't inflict that on my worst enemy's ride. An hour later, she came by and emptied a bucket of paint over my windshield. FML

What you said was quite rude.. Goo mother in law!!

How does a slightly insulting comment warrant vandalism. At most it calls for calling the person and calling them a dick.

You're not using the word "sarcastically" correctly. Sarcastically is when you don't mean what you say. If you'd actually have been sarcastic, you would have meant that she did a great job.

you can't sarcastically write a comment online because they'll read it like it's not

She better fix it or I would sue. that shit is not cheap to fix.

To all those who said YDI. He made a comment that hurt her feelings. She vandalized his property for probably thousands of dollars in damages. See how one is far more severe than the other and completely unreasonable? Sorry OP. FYL

Don't you know how that old saying goes? If you don't have anything nice to say...

Maybe you shouldn't have been so rude to your in laws especially if she was proud of it! If you can't say anything nice don't say anything...insert foot into mouth.
