Today, I saw my four-year-old son running around outside, and copying everything our dog was doing. I thought it was cute, so I went to grab the camera. When I went back outside, I saw my dog eating a dead rabbit, and my son doing the same. FML

If your four year old can catch a rabbit for food, I wouldn't worry about him providing for himself in the future.

YDI for not actually watching your son. When your son is outside, you should be too. 1) to watch and make sure he doesn't get hurt seriously 2) to make sure he doesn't go missing or wander off 3) to make sure he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't 4) to spend time with him instead of sending him off by himself. I'm not saying your a bad parent, and I know you can't watch him 24/7, but when you send him outside to play, you should be with him (yes even in your own yard). Smarten up. And you think this is an FML for you? How about for him? "My mommy sent me out to play by myself and I ate a dead rabbit". There are things outside he doesn't know about yet, perhaps you should be there to teach him. Dumbass.

Jesus man! She was watching her kid the whole time, she leaves for 2 seconds to go get a camera so child services must be informed! Stop ringing the alarm bells and don't smother your kids! People who excessively clean their houses to prevent their kids from getting diseases are only making it worse for them when they grow up, if they get all these little sick-ups that everyone gets when they're young then they'll live a healthy life, smothering parents deserve to be, well, smothered!

If no one but me, and a few others, read that she went BACK outside meaning that she had been outside watching her son...and besides...she obviously was doing something right because she got out there in time to see that he was eating a dead rabbit. She could have went skipping around the house for an hour and a half and not even have known that her son ate the rabbit. With her knowing, now she'll be able to get him medical attention.

God, the only thing I hate more than kids is when some brat is misbehaving and those doting moms won't tell their kids to straighten up, so some stranger has to call out their kids in public to stop annoying the shit out of everyone and the moms get all defensive instead of teaching the damn kid some manners. Oh but my point was that your kid is gross, and that's not at all cute.
